DEMONSTRATIVES

• Demonstratives show where an object, event, or person is in relation to the speaker. They can refer to a physical or a psychological closeness or distance.

This, That, These, Those are called demonstratives and they are used to show the relative distance between the speaker and the noun.

Demonstrative Pronouns

We use this (singular) and these (plural) to refer to something that is here / near.

Examples:

• This is my car. (singular)
  
• These are our children. (plural)

We use that (singular) and those (plural) to refer to something that is there / far.

Examples:

• That is our house. (singular)
  
• Those are my shoes. (plural)

2. STUDENTS HAVE TO WRITE ONE EXAMPLE OF EACH DEMONSTRATIVE IN THEIR NOTEBOOKS.

3. STUDENTS  HAVE TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT ANSWER.
